Holiday Art in the Park, Season 1
  • Beautiful day highlighting the Guadalupe River and the park.

  • Offered the community an opportunity to artistically express the meaning of holidays.

  • Foods and family were very common in holiday traditions.

Bike Lane Cleanup Day
  • Bike lane and crosswalk litter pick-up

  • 4 bags of trash removed

  • Chalk art at bus stop saying “thank you for not driving today”

  • Group of teenage pedestrians walking by admired the work in progress

  • 4 volunteers

Bike Lane Cleanup Day
  • Bike lane sweeps, tree trimming, and litter pick up

  • 6 bags of trash cleared from both sides of the street

  • Glass was swept off streets and bike lanes

  • Added some art in the crosswalk

  • Got some donations on the spot

  • 8 volunteers

Lone Bluff Way Crosswalk 2
  • Swept crosswalk

  • Traffic calming chalk art animals

  • Crosswalk lines altered to imitate river water

  • Complemented with mountain ranges and flowers

  • A sun motif was placed in the middle

  • A CATLineSJ boat was placed to represent our group floating by to make a difference in the community

Crema Cafe
Impromptu Barrier
  • Barrier created while sitting at the sidewalk tables by the driveway.

  • Several drivers came too close for comfort to the tables.

  • Realized that the edge of the driveway was difficult to see, so we ensure that it was more visible.

  • Simple chalked crosswalk to calm traffic for pedestrian safety.

  • Colorful art and cognitive art for intellectual processes to expand child knowledge.

  • Simple chalked snail art distracts young bus riders for a little outdoor fun.

  • The children were engaged with the snail while their mother is relaxing while the wait for the bus.

  • A peace symbol was created after a by stander joined in on the fun.

  • A teenager walking by cheered us on.

  • Side note: A local liquor store could use a mural.

  • Latinx vibes : eagle, nopales, flowers.

  • Neighbor complemented the art and recommended a yin yang for the next one.

  • Chalked artsy spring party ideas at the roundabout.

  • Neighbors were surprised and thankful.

  • Drivers drove by very slowly to watch us work.
